The work of British artist Tracey Emin has had an extraordinary impact in the last decade. Experimental, inventive and honest, she expresses the vulnerability and the power of her sexuality through her art. This is her own assessment of her work, and includes many previously unpublished drawings and early pieces. In this publication, she groups together pieces according to a personal sense of place -- art school, Berlin, New York, south London as well as London's Brick Lane -- focusing on inner time spent in these locations, rather than any outer public narrative, in order to tell her own story.Tracey Emin was born in London and brought up in Margate. She graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1989. Her work can now be found in both private and public collections worldwide including the Tate Collection, the Arts Council of Great Britain, the Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh, the Museum of Contemporary Art in San Diego, the Pompidou Centre in Paris, the Saatchi Collection in London, the Hamburger Kunsthalle in Hamburg. Her work was included in the controversial Sensation exhibition in London and been exhibited from London and Tokyo to Berlin and Bremen.Emin, Tracey is the author of 'Tracey Emin I Used to Have Such a Good Imagination' with ISBN 9781861542090 and ISBN 1861542097.
