SUMMARY
B. David Mann was born into a VMI family in Bluefield, WV, in 1924. He entered VMI in 1942. His education was interrupted by WWII and served in the 65th Division of Field Artillery and was awarded the Bronze Star. He graduated VMI in September 1946. He was recalled to active duty in Oct. 1950 and served in Korea. His civilian career included 30 years as a college development officer in five private Virginia colleges.
