Out of the Corner of My Eye

The 40 Acres Art Gallery is a non-profit arts organization dedicated to exposing and educating the Oak Park and greater Sacramento community to a broad range of visual art forms. During 2003, Oakland native and painter Milton Bowens became the first 40 Acres Art Gallery Artist-in-Residence. Bowens lived in the Sacramento neighborhood of Oak Park, immersing himself in Oak Park's culture for six months while also providing workshops and lectures.
