Multidimensional Family Therapy for Adolescent : Cannabis Users

Describes a 3-year study conducted in collaboration with staff of several health systems in Illinois, Connecticut, Florida, & Children's Hospital of Phila. This study involved 5 manual-based, expert-supported treatment conditions: Motivational Enhance. Therapy/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; Family Support Network; Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach; & Multidimensional Family Therapy. Starting in spring 1998, adolescents with marijuana abuse or dependence problems who were appropriate for outpatient treatment were assigned to one of the treatment conditions.
