Hidden Amongst the Petals

Beverly Hughes is textile designer and a 1976 graduate of Moore College of Art in Philadelphia. She hand-dyes and weaves silk scarves for boutiques and has for many years--boutiques such as Urban Outfitters, Liberty Crafts of New York, and Touches. Currently, she researches different species of flowers in color pencil, pen, and ink. In 1999, Martha Wolfe chose Ms. Hughes¿ illustration of the Franklinia Alatamaha to carry the First Day Issue Stamp commemorating the 300th Anniversary of John and William Bartram.
