Mark Bach Bach is a faculty consultant for the College Board and helps to score the AP History exam every June with many other history teachers. He is also an examiner for the International Baccalaureate in History. He taught overseas for 20 years in Taipei, Osaka, and New Delhi. He currently lives in Seattle and teaches AP U.S. History online for APEX Learning. At other times he is an avid skier, wine maker, and flyer. Betsy Fitzgerald Fitzgerald is a 32-year veteran history teacher at Erskine Academy, a private high school in South China, ME. She teaches Advanced Placement United States History and a wide range of other subjects. She also serves as the history department chair and was instrumental in creating the School and Local Government Project, a statewide program that offers lesson plans for the teaching of local government in Maine. Educated at the University of Maine-Machias, she holds a Masters from the Edmund S. Muskie School of Public Policy and is currently a doctoral student in public policy. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Council for Social Studies and the Maine Council for the Social Studies. Fitzgerald has presented at conferences and workshops across the state of Maine and at national conferences in San Antonio and Phoenix.
