The patterns span Victorian to Art Nouveau designs, with size chart and fitting information, including children'¿¿s growing feet. This book is a source of original patterns, decorations, historical and style information on the Parisian style, a wildly popular European shoe fashion which was the rage from ca. 1820 through the 1930s. It explains shoe industry original geometric shoe last and pattern making as developed in 18th-century Germany. Then, unlike today, boots and shoes were made on the same last, and from the same pattern parts, and individually fitted with extreme care.
